How to get interested people information about your team? Friends or employees at the institute's still get a lot about viral marketing. But what about sponsors, press, university administration, parents, grandparents, students and other interested parties? They all want to know what kind of work is just to do and what are your experience.
Your website is the number one communication instrument to outsiders. But how can you make a successful site? Today I would like to start with the content. Last articles on several team pages are half an year old. The user will check your site half a year later or never again. There are teams which create one item a week or more! At the frontpage the user should see the latest news of your team. Try to publish these news as soon as possible and not one week later. Watch that your articles has at least 100 words! Ask yourself what interests the user have. Write about your experiences and what you learned from the project. Good content are also technical articles. Write in a seperate area about your car and it`s components. Show your innovations and steps of manufacturing. A summary of the main technical details are always very popular for other teams. Some readers do not know yet what the Formula SAE means. Explain them what it is and what various disciplinesand locations there are. Now they understand what you do. Post your teamhistory in extra area. When did you founded and what were your participation and success? Press has reported about your team? Ask the journalists if you are allowed to publish these on your site as pdf, picture or link? What about your Team? Who are your captains and what kind of structure is your team using? Who is responsible for the drivetrain or suspension? Surely you can simply put the name and the image of your members, but other teams can better!
