Supported by Red Bull and Barber Motorsports Park, Auburn University(War Eagle Motorsports) and The University of Alabama(Crimson Racing) organises since 2006 a practice competition.
Teams from the University of Maryland(Terps Racing), Southern Polytechnic University(SPSU Motorsports), Mississippi State University (M State Motorsports) and Vanderbilt University (Vanderbilt Motorsports) followed the invitation.
On 24th January the participating teams could train the procedures and preparations for the coming season events.
There were all dynamic events offered. New drivers got the opportunity to optimize their skills.
The morning started with cold and rainy weather. Rain tires were mounted after technical inspection for the Acceleration Event.

After Skid Pad and Autocross the track was dry enough for endurance with slicks.
