Register for the 2nd Edition of the VI-grade Virtual Formula competition and get access to our state-of-the-art simulation software to find the best set-up for your car (software, models and specifications will be sent to registered teams on February 1st 2010). WIN! A driving simulator powered by the VI-grade real-time vehicle model and the Concurrent Linux-based hardware, for a total value of 30,000 EUR. THE CHALLENGE Optimize the performance of a virtual race car, minimizing the lap time on a given autocross track. Supported by Red Bull and Barber Motorsports Park, Auburn University(War Eagle Motorsports) and The University of Alabama(Crimson Racing) organises since 2006 a practice competition.
Teams from the University of Maryland(Terps Racing), Southern Polytechnic University(SPSU Motorsports), Mississippi State University (M State Motorsports) and Vanderbilt University (Vanderbilt Motorsports) followed the invitation.
On 24th January the participating teams could train the procedures and preparations for the coming season events.

 From 20.-21.08.2009 the team of Metropolia Motorsports organises the 2009 Baltic open.
This is a non official competition with tradition. 2003 was the first event, 2004 Lulea, 2005 Stockholm, 2006 Helsinki, 2007 Gothenburg and 2008 Delft(DUTch Open).
2009 there are only the dynamic events of Acceleration, Autocross and Endurance.
Teams can also take part with cars from previous seasons. There is no limit for teams.
Accommodations will be at Helsinki Polytechnic which is 25km away from the Malmi karting track. The entry fee will be 20-30€ per person.
22.-23.08 is reserved for sauna and after parties.
