On Friday, the 19th of June, CAT-Racing presented the C09 Leopard to its sponsors, family and friends at the beautiful castle Veste Coburg. The team made clear to have learnt a lot from the last season.
By using CFK, Aluminium and FEM-calculations we have managed to lower the weight of our new car from 342 kg to 244 kg. During the next weeks we must “test, test and test again”, in order to be perfectly prepared for our first event in Silverstone, England, which is only a few weeks away.
Differences between the C08 Panther (last season’s car) and the new C09 Leopard:
A more light-current steering system
Improvement of the braking efficiency
Steady torque about a bigger speed tape with approx. 90 HP of engine power
Reduction of total weight (-98 kg)
Modification of the electromagnetic gear shifting
CAN- and Shifter-Control Module with graphical user interface via Touchscreen in the Steering Wheel
Full-adjustable damping
Use of the most modern materials and manufacturing methods
